I blame the directions!!!

Today I had quite an adventure which I'd like to tell you about which took place from 2:00am to 6:00am. I am a person who tends to do things on a whim; I don't really take the time to think about my actions and their subsequent consequences. I had a whim to go to Manhattan Beach, which holds a lot of sentimental value to me. I called my lover and asked if he'd like to go with me and he agreed. I had been there before obviously but I had never taken the freeway there...always drove down Rosecrans ave. I sent the directions I obtained from google and mapquest to my cell phone. Once I was on the 105, approaching the next freeway, I had to choose whether or not I should take the 405 freeway which I had never been on or exit Long Beach and go down Rosecrans. Being adventurous one :p I took the freeway. I took the 405 n. towards Santa Monica (obviously the WRONG way!). I figured I should get off the freeway,because my lover had to be home before 4am, so I did. I had no freakin idea where I was at! I finally stopped at a 7/11 after driving with no direction in mind, bought something to drink and head off to find the 405 south which was no where to be found! I found it and immediately searched for the 105. I was so infuriated that I got lost and did not end up going to the beach, that I went on the 105 west when I needed to go east. I had to start all over again! I was fed up and finally decided to stop at a gas station to ask for directions. Thanks to the gas station employee, I found the 105 east. I sped through traffic trying to get my love back home before 4am. As we entered the 605, he told me that I had 15 minutes til 4. I completely ignored traffic rules (such a bad driver!!!) and drove at about 100 miles per hour, got him home in 10 minutes when it is supposed to take 45! Thank the heavens we got home safe and without a speeding ticket :p I wonder where I will go next and what stupid incidents will occur! Stay tuned!!! lol
